Would that level the playing field? or would they still be behind or ahead of Microsoft?
mostly mentioning Japanese game publishers due to home turf advantage.

Adding these 3 companies under their umbrella, would give them IP's such as :

• Resident Evil
• Final Fantasy
• Devil May Cry
• Street Fighter
• Metal Gear Solid
• Silent Hill
• Dragon Quest
• Etc...

Not sure if those games combined could still make as much profit as a game such as COD , but they do hold a lot of value to the hardcore base.

This generation has just started, the fact that people are excited about COD still being relevant in 5 years is part of the problem.

All those games are cool but we need new ideas from these companies, they lazy now. I hope we never see MGS again. As much as I love it, I hope Kojima keeps making weird new games.

It’s a step in the right direction, most of those games I would only play if they were gamepass aka free.

Street Fighter is king for me tho top 5 all time, I’d be mad at the thought of not playing newer versions even tho I don’t play them now.

I think they should spend their money on getting Take Two and Ubisoft instead. NBA 2k, gta, assassins creed and red dead redemption becoming excluisive are the only way of of countering losing cod. The Japanese foot will not approve Microsoft buying up third party Japanese publishers so it would be a waste of money for Sony to buy them.

Sony is still in the drivers seat there's nothing microsoft can do, Call of Duty being an Xbox exclusive will just kill the Call of Duty franchise that's why it's not happening

Microsoft had Insominic making them only Xbox games, did not help at all, once Sony got them they made a hit with Spider-Man

The developers don't mean anything, it's who is in command, and microsoft will never be able to compete with sony, they been in the shyt since 1995 and took out sega and nintendo on the first try Microsoft wasn't even competitive last gen, they too far behind to cover up that ground, it will take a
revolutionary game, but I think that will only drive sony to come up with something better

It's good for competition, because last gen sony was too comfortable, last of us is trash, uncharted is okay, naughty dog is kinda ass to be honest

Sucker Punch is way better, their games on ps4 looked better and ran better than Naughty Dogs games even Infamous Second Son still holds up, would rather have their games on PC than that garbage ass God of War, that was dikk rode because it as a white protganist with a beard game, that seems to be dikk riden to death by western game

I hope Microsoft can force Sony to have to innovate and come up with good titles, but I just don't see it, Playstation is videogames when it comes to console, it's the default, they just call it playstation, like back in the day Nintendo was defacto name for all videogame systems when people describe videogames
