A lot of them said Quinn should have gone first, or even second over joe Thomas, Jamarcus replaced leaf as the face of busts and u never hear a negative word about Quinn
Vince Young vs Tim Tebow
Did the exact same thing. Had like one season of being the qb of a winning team after physically dominating college 5 star recruit type guys. National champs.
Tebow just wins games vy is a runner who didn't get any credit for taking team to playoffs.
Matt Ryan vs Cam Newton
I just seem to see cam hated on for so many supposed personality/ leadership things, yet in 3 more years Ryan never won the division in consecutive years. Both of these guys are good though.
I don't think nfl qb really get figured out, just are good enough or not. But the language they use to describe people just isn't consistent.

He's proven to suck. Flamed out in Philadelphia and in Green Bay. At this point we know he isn't going to ever contribute to a winning team. Time to let it go. The 2006 quarterback class was a bust all around.Is he wrong? Why shouldn't VY get another chance?

Truth. I see a trend. VY had better QB instincts than Tim Tebow. VY just looked better under center overall, yet people are still wax poetic over that Broncos OT playoff win, and age still using that as a reason to "Just give Tebow another chance"
And Cam's on his way to winning the AFC South for the 2nd year in a row with no where near the amount of weapons Matt Ryan has. Cam is getting it done, with hard work, "gumption", "moxie" and any other adjective they use to praise underachieving QB's of a diffirent hue....
You missed the point. White QB's who struggle are never called 1-read QB's or critiqued as not being able to read defenses. Their intelligence or lack there of never gets brought up.
BlackQB's who struggle almost always have their intelligence questioned. I've heard so many times about black QB's struggling with the playbook, unable to read defenses and being "figured out". It's complete fukking bullshyt.
McCown is not good...he is mediocre, but he's a "intelligent, gutsy, vet"....beware those buzzwords.
Thank God someone gets it. Some of those QBs on my list are actually pretty good...but that's besides the point. When they struggle, their intelligence and style of play will never be brought up. There will be all kinds of passes handed out. But let a nikka struggle and see all kinds of analysis about drop back QB's vs mobile QBs and how mobile QBs can't read defenses and are "figured out".
