Vince was in his bag here doing super damage control and dropping mad quotables :wow:

Sympathy? I have no sympathy for Bret whatsoever. None. I have no sympathy for someone who is supposed to be a wrestling traditionalist, not doing the right thing for the business that made him. Not doing the right thing for the fans and the performers and the organization that help make him what he is today. Bret made a very very selfish decision. Bret's going to have to live with that for the rest of his life. Bret screwed Bret. I have no sympathy whatsoever for Bret Hart”

“This is a strange business. And, yes I would. We would have to have a real frank understanding. I would want to hear Bret say, "Vince, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be selfish and I just kind of lost it there for a while." And I have no problem saying "Bret, jeez, I'm sorry. That I had to do what I had to do as well." Would I welcome him back? And I would also tell Bret no more free shots.” :mjlol:

“ It's just too damn bad that in the end, Bret really wasn't the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. And he had that opportunity to live up to that in his final match in the WWF. And he failed.” :mjlol:

Said Bret wasn’t a draw and had no fans that are separate from the general WWF audience :mjlol:

Birth of one of the GOAT heels, if not the GOAT heel Also, Time Honered Tradition will never NOT be funny :russ:

I'm a bret fan and I don't really fukk with HBK but Bret was acting like a bytch...

Dude really expected to keep the belt and then to hand it over on a fukking Monday Night Raw because he didn't want to lose it to Shawn over some petty beef ?
:camby:

Vince said okay and was on tape saying so:yeshrug:

Bret's contract with WCW didnt start until December 5 and he had a few weeks still on his WWF contract and there was no non compete clause, he could have had him drop it at any time other than in Montreal to anyone including Shawn whether it would have been a Raw or the In Your House PPV next month:yeshrug:

Cokeboy did it cause controversy sells:yeshrug:

Classic interview!

Vince with the ether.

I agree with everything Vince said. Bret was acting like a bytch, he should've done exactly what Vince said drop the title to HBK after a hard fought back and forth match then go on to WCW and make his millions. Even Hogan dropped the title on the way out and lost to his own finishing move too. Who the fukk was Bret to think he deserved some type of special treatment when he wasn't 10% of the draw that Hogan was especially when they were at war with the company Bret was going to work for.

It was a stupid decision by Bret and one I'm sure deep down whether he wants to admit it or not, he regrets acting the way he did.

He was gone drop it to Shawn on Monday Night Raw he just didn't wanna do it in his home country

What gets overlooked is their 97 survivor series match was very good

Easily one of the best matches of all time :wow:

You've seen that documentary a million fukking tines..heard the audio. The agreed to a non finish and him giving up the belt on Raw. Lol. McMahon double crossed him and wanted him to lose instead...set him up..fukked him over. Betrayed the industry.

Vince McMahon is just a old rich white guy who justified that bull$hit in his head.

They didnt agree to that..that wasnt the finish. That wasnt even remotely what the finish was. Supposed to be a no contest and losing the next night.

My thing is they had a month to work this out. SS 97 was on Nov 9th I believe and they had till Dec 1st to get the belt off him. Bret couldn't show up on WCW for damn near 4 weeks. He said he'd drop it to Shamrock or Austin on house shows or whatever before then. This screams of Vince paranoia getting the better of him or something else bigger.

That's what Vince wanted to happen originally, they only 'agreed' to the schmoz finish mentioned in 'Wrestling with Shadows' after Bret started pulling his bytch ass 'I'm not losing to Shawn/I'm not losing in Canada' bullshyt.

In the interview JR asks Vince some shyt like 'How would you have written the final chapter in the story of Bret in the WWF?' and Vince said exactly what I said in my previous post. It's the time honored tradition.

Who cares about the revisements..its on crystal clear audio that they had a no contest finish told to Bret Hart. They didnt do it. Then they got pissy and gay and started crying in a promo like this one...silly.

The audio was from the day of the damn show. It was obviously just a last-ditch effort compromise to get Bret to agree to a damn finish (and to get Bret to let HBK put him in the sharpshooter) They had already decided to screw him by that point.

The match was originally booked for Bret to drop the title to Shawn on his way out of the company. They only went with Bret's corny schmoz finish after he bytched and moaned about not losing to Shawn and not losing Canada. If Bret had stopped being a bytch and just did business the way he was supposed to, Vince wouldn't have felt he had to do what he did, Bret basically forced his hand.
