How good would that Heat team have been up until Bron joined in 2010?

Then Riley wouldnt have had to give up the whole squad for Shaq. Not saying he wouldnt have gone after Shaq at all but he would have SOMETHING left to surround Shaq and Wade with after the trade.

Remember as a Rookie Wade lead the heat to the second round of the playoffs with: A limping Caron Butler. Bryan Grant being a shell of himself to the point he was a throw in in the trade. A declining Eddie Jones and with his best teammate being Lamar Odom.

I think Riley still gets in the room to talk. Riley is in love with big 6'8+ guys who can play PG. Thus why first trade ge made when he got to Miami was go after Billy Owens. Then eventually Lamar Odom.

Remember Riley made that offer to Elton Brand knowing the Clippers would match and once they did they would have no choice but to let Odom walk. That's how much he loves those PG in PF-body types. He'd at least get a meeting and probably give up some pick for him
Wade, Caron, Odom, Eddie Jones, UD, Bosh. Maybe they never make the Shaq deal, Bron probably never comes running there in 2010. Random ass question
He'd still get Shaq. Riley loves good to dominant bigs twice as much as he loves big PGs. Every time he's seen a big man on the market he has at least showed interest. ZO, Shaq, Jermaine O'Neal, Lamarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol. He's gone after all of those even when he had nothing to offer.
