but quik kept the ball rollin' durin' those sad and tragic times. plus, he was goin' through it himself because he had lost a loved one durin' the recordin' of rhythm-al-ism and a close friend, mausberg in 2000. all the while, here he is just workin' and keepin' his groove. shyt, one could even argue that that 97' to 00 is where quik peaked musically even though many say safe +sound is his best album (myself included) but musically he continued to grow and expand post 95'

i've said it before and i'll say it again, quik is truly a genius. the brother is musically gifted, he is music

Real talk Balance and Options is a fukkin personal classic to me. It was the first CD I bought when i was living in LA and while I was getting my car stereo hooked up at Best Buy in Torrance I went in and bought the album.
