Im late to this thread by a few years lol
But it has always amazed me how the nation of gods and earths is never talked about.
People use the slang and their favorite songs got a bunch of knowledge in it but they barely know anything about the 5% nation.

When the nation ruled hip hop. We had more respect for ourselves and we held the culture to a higher standard.
It's nothing but buffoonery now

True.

Sadat X said recently that the Nation got fizzled out in Hip Hop because the older gods stopped reaching out to the youth. He said by the late 90's, there was so much animosity for the younger dudes, so the lessons weren't being spread around like they should've been. He also said a lot of the older gods had a lot of legal and drug issues, so they weren't in position to teach and set-up more outreach to keep building the Nation.

He said his biggest criticism was always how the older gods chose to intentionally leave the youth out, and didn't plan for the future.
