Warrior was right though about him meaning just as much to WM 7 as Hogan. I know why they did it, to cash off the war...but it was a big letdown having him job to Slaughter

I remember being such a Hogan and Warrior mark during my youth. Even as my love for young Bret Hart was there, I knew that the top tier was occupied by the Hulkster and the Warrior.

With that said, the day Warrior pressed for that top spot is what broke my way of thinking. Mania 6 was the summer of '90 when I was 9 years old, and I had NO idea who I was cheering for, but was sad cuz I knew Warrior was finished.

Then he won :wtf:

So MY lil mark mind was like "Oh wow, ok. I guess Warrior is the new god of the F." :leon:

Then, we see they don't promote Warrior as the top draw at Summerlsam against Rick Rude. They billed it as a "double main event" as Hogan took on Earthquake :scusthov: At Survivor Series, they did some bullshyt where the faces that won their SS matches took on the heels that won theirs in the main event - AGAIN not trusting Warrior with the top spot :heh:

Then FINALLY, they decide to cash in on the Iraq War and had Randy Savage come to the ring with some giant fake scepter that he NEVER used with his Macho King run, and bust it across his head, shattering like it was baked with fortune cookie batter :heh:

Helwig must have felt some Montreal Screwjob type of way about how his run went, but good gotdamn. Vince had ZERO faith in him :dead:

Dude seemed like he was too worried about what the next man was doing. Warrior had an amazing run, but Hogan earned them dollars cent for cent. He built that company, Vince was smart to give him everything he wanted while he was there

Warrior, once again amazing talent...but he didn't take that company from the brink of ruin to what it became. That would be like Jericho demanding dollar for dollar on Steve Austin in 2001

Nah...you can't say that. HAHAHAHA. Jericho was NEVER in the Warrior position. Warrior was MUCH, MUCH, MUCH bigger than any push Jericho got during his prime. Wasn't even close. There was a couple of years Warrior never lost and he went over Hulk Hogan in 1990 at WM 6...Jericho has NEVER had a moment like that except for the Rock and Austin dirty wins he got in Dec 2001 on the same night. That's it. Warrior was ahead of Undertaker, Michaels, Bret, Booker, Goldberg...all of those guys YEARS before you ever heard of them. Macho Man and Hogan ruled the Nest in the WWF before he blew up.

I watched the Warrior/Slaughter match yesterday...I haven't seen that damn match since probably 2000 or something. I laughed so damn hard when Macho blindsided the shyt out of Warrior on the outside..just beat his ass up quick and ruthless. Through that damn rod hard as fukk on his upper back area. LOL! He ran off like someone who committed a hit in NY in the 50s:laugh:
