Marco Rubio has almost 0% chance of winning, but this is fairly accurate.
Then again, you posted this in TLR, so this thread won't do numbers until someone tries to start a race debate or a "Why we hate Black women" comment.

Marco Rubio is literally the only Republican that had a real shot at winning a countrywide election.

But you're correct that his primary shot is so slim, that it his overall chance is slimmer. If I was a republican I'd find this really unfortunate. :yeshrug:

Lotta people in this thread don't seem to grasp the difference between :

"What's that candidates shot of winning a general election" :jbhmm:

Can somebody really school me on Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio??? Outside of Ted Cruz supposedly being born in Canada, I really don't know much about them....
Ted Cruz was supposed to be the far right, Tea Party candidate before Trump came through and crushed the buildings. He's positioned himself as the constitutionalist, principled conservative, and has the legal background to back it up (was the former SG of Texas, argued cases in front of the SC). Rubio is the young, new generation conservative. He's shown some leniency on issues like immigration reform and gay rights. He's the most appealing to moderates and independents. Really, this Republican primary was supposed to go to Jeb, who is a mix of old and new school Republicanism. Cruz and Rubio would fight it out for the future of the party; the former representing traditionalism and the latter representing evolution. But Trump has been a total wild card and thrown the whole thing into disarray. Jeb has been nuked into irrelevancy (although he's gaining in Iowa, I think). Cruz is basically trying to regain pole position as the conservative back from Trump. Rubio is trying to lay low and stay in 3rd in hopes that once the other moderate guys (Bush, Kasich, Paul, Christie) drop out, the establishment will throw their weight behind him.

I haven't really looked at the polls recently, but he does have the backing of the "establishment". Plus he's the only Repub candidate that stands a chance against the Dems in the general election.
