He's always sucked, but it's even worse now because he's supposed to be the corporate stooge, but he's constantly siding with the babyfaces.

Like I've been saying, though, his continuity game is

Haven't been watching WWE lately so I can't speak for how good he is now.....but JBL was GREAT on commentary with Cole on SD! years ago

Which is why I'm surprised to see everybody shytting on him now

Something isn't adding up here.....it seems like pretty much all of the commentators have 'fallen off' to some degree, according to the IWC.....even JR has gotten criticism in recent years.....

Maybe the product sucks so much that it affects commentary somehow. Maybe the commentary is too 'controlled' nowadays or some shyt; I don't know

Seems like back in the day, everybody was more 'free' on commentary, and that allowed the best to come out of most people.....someone just mentioned how they barely spend time really talking about the matches.....I hate that shyt, too. Yeah, they used to randomly promote/mention unrelated feuds and storylines during a match back in the day, but they still gave the match and its participants the appropriate amount of attention. Now recently, if you have a 6-minute match, about 4 of those minutes will be about the show's major storylines or promoting some other shyt, while the other 2 minutes is about the actual match.....it's like "I can't wait for Cena vs. Punk this Sunday....and Ziggler with a legdrop!! Here's the cover! 1, 2 and a kickout!.....but like I was saying earlier, Punk is really going to have to give it his all this Sunday if he wants to win....."

Yeah the shyt is pretty bad now. I am just getting back into the game after a few years off, and the bad commentating is the first thing I noticed. Joey Styles touches on this during his ether of the WWE.

U know the commentary is weak these days because AJ had them shook and they had no answer for her. She murdered Lawler on his thing for 21 year old granddaughters for wives

I actually enjoyed when he came back initially. Didn't force anything and spoke at the right times, adding good info. Seems like now he has this constant battle with Cole on the mic. He commentates in heel mode but will side with faces half the time. Its the yapping during entrances (ie: Wyatts) that is irritating though. They either don't talk when they should (endings on the show), or do so when they should shatap

I think there's hope for him after this Authority Storyline wraps up. Ever since this program has started he's gotten progressively worst with each passing week. He comes off annoying and stupid now, he should watch Lawler's heel work during attitude he able to come off as heel without sounding like a total tool.

Hell.... Rotate all four between Raw and Smackdown. It would keep things fresh in the booth.... or as fresh as you can get with announcers not being allowed to call wrestling matches, instead having to gossip like bytches while JBL drops obscure references, Lawler mimics a girl he's fukked before and Cole screams " OH THIS COULD BE IT! ONE... TWO... ALMOST!!!" during headlocks and collar elbow tieups.

I like JBL, he's the sole reason why I don't watch entire episodes of Raw on mute... but I will say that King and Cole's horribleness makes him horrible at times. The fact that JBL calls out Cole and Lawler's dikkriding tendencies of babyfaces and general stupidity makes me not hate him.

Nope. He's the only good commentator on RAW. He's doing an actual character which is what the commentary is supposed to be about. He sides with the heels and is always able to talk around the face commentators. He's not supposed to be "liked".
