Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
You see a Lexus, I see the evolution of the Toyota Cressida, Avalon and Camry.

Give me that Nazi inspired autowerks, nothing from Japan is coming close to the interior bliss found in Audi's lineup. Also, Lexus gotta start winning some races, a lot of MB, BMW and Audi's pedigree is from the race track.

Lexus LS predates the Avalon, so that's not accurate...

So you have driven the german cars and driven the new 2013/14 lexus models?

I would agree that MB and maybe Audi have better interiors than for 2014, but the BMW does not

unless you're saying this

is better than this

I looked at and compared the Lexus and BMW cockpit pictures. The Lexus is okay. The BMW is awesome. Now, this is a subjective opinion of someone who drives a minivan.
Why? Image. The Lexus could be better than the BWM on multiple points. Lexus says "older white dude, possible Viagra user". BMW says "Stick shift works."

lexus and bmw is apples to oranges in handling...no comparison. My cousin went to lex just because rates are better he says all the time he really misses bmw. My good friend got a lexus as second car and said she couldnt do it anymore and traded it back for another bmw.

everyone is having an engaging discussion about it, because Lexus has seriously caught up...

even BMW homers have admitted that Lexus best the BMW in certain areas

but then there's people like you, who have probably never even driven either car and just talk out your ass.

I never said I own mad nice cars, I've test driven a few in the Luxury sedan/coupe class under $70K and I'm giving my opinion. What have you given? You're like an old man in a rocker...

Hope in the Lexus GS or the new 2014 IS 350 and I bet you won't call it a Toyota or chrylser again. Do you even know what Luxury is?

i respect your opinion, with test driving you cannot get the full experience of a car...you need to have a car broken in.....and properly to get the full experience out of an automobile...Also you can drive the car hard, unlike a tame 5 min test drive with a new car, and that hasn't been broken in on top of that....

MERC and BMW also have that rich racing tradition, this is where the engineering specialty comes in, its almost like trying to compare a NBA team that has a rich history (Lakers) to a new organization (OKC) yeah they have a quality product but it is not yet here and has alot of building to do to get that same reputation and legacy.

I can respect that, but realize that I'm not racing my car I'm driving it.

I had a mercedes, it was uncomfortable and tight and the drive was not as good nor the handling as the Lex.

Whether the BMW is better is subjective as well as far as interior and drive, but most reviews have given the edge to Lexus for both the IS vs 3 and the GS vs 5 (if not an edge to Lex than slight edge to BMW).

you can't be serious? lol, the difference between the cockpit setups are not that drastic :whoo: I will say this both Lex and BMW LAG behind Audi and Mercedes in the richness of the interior. Even with all the leather lexus put in it, the sleekness of Mercedes and Audi is ooh la la.

A motortrend give the car of the year to whatever but they also do great comparisons on car segments and in those segment BMW 3 series has one for like 20 years straight, except this year where the IS took them over. I really don't think you can call them bias after a 20 year streak.

Unbiased???
Motor Trend are the same people that have given the Honda Accord car of the year award a ton of times. Really, the BMW M3 has never won car of the year? Porsche 911 never won not car of the year. Acura NSX never won car of the year?

:beli:

They don't count lines like the M3 separate from the 3-series and the 911 is priced out of their price limit.

This entire thread was a great read. :salute:

Nobody ever mentions Acura :sadcam:

Actually its a bad thread filled with mostly preconcieved notions.

All this BS about racing pedigree and all that is exactly that, especially when the best driving(not the "best" car) car in the class according to most magazines is the Caddy ATS which will probably never see the track in race form.

When you start getting into actual performance cars, then that experience starts to have some merit, otherwise just talking about the A4/ATS/3/IS/C-Class/etc and race experience is dumb.
