This is just a prototype as far as i'm understanding it but i can't wait. I wonder if there will be a size limit to this technology...the era of the wall sized, projection killer screen might be soon upon us. :wow:
Bruh, this shyt will not take off for this reason. An actual projector can be had for as low as $300
So anyone can have a 100in screen in their houses right now for cheaper than a 50in TV, but most people just not really aware of this option right now.

Then things like Microsoft Hololens which is a headset making a augmented reality which is seeing stuff in the real world. They already have it so you can watch a big ass screen in it, and it'll follow you around while you walk. Retail price isn't set yet, but they did confirm it would be cheaper than $500, so I'm guessing $350 at launch???

Now if this thin screen tech was cheap, it would catch on. But these greedy companies will kill themselves off :manny:

Can't be that expensive tho bruh. My first HDTV was a DLP and needed its bulb changed every year an a half?
Was $100, then $75 on average. I'm sure I could probably find those for $30/40 these days?

What is the average price of a projector bulb? And do all projectors require bulb replacement or have they moved on like they did with TV's?

A 300 dollar projector is terrible picture quality and resolution tho. Anything projector worthwhile is gonna cost like the price of a hdtv anyway if u care about picture quality.

Hope not. When it comes to video and audio anyway. shyt I love Sonos and it still aint the best shyt out there when it comes to sound quality. Nothing beats wired connection. Nothing.
What you say is true today, but not true tomorrow.... Get on George Clooney's level :salute:

What you say is somewhat true today, but not ture tomorrow
I seen a 1080p projector at BestBuy on clearance for $275+tax and should have hopped on it.
But right now I don't have a spot for all that :manny:

^^^ That was $279 just a couple of days ago ^^^ You can still see the ad on slickdeals

This joint is mad decent.. $400 but is on sale for $350 right now on SD

Please dont' reply with "Thats not the highest quality projector on the market :sadbron:" because of course not. Wasn't the point. A higher quality joint goes down in price. It won't be long before 100in screens are the norm. Especially when projectors get undercut by newer technologies like holograms/etc. But do you hear mne tho?

Now you just hating. Factors would be things like it doesn't work well in rooms with ambient light/etc.
Basically fukkboy shyt. IF you don't have a projector, and then you do?
That ambient light shyt applies to nikkaz trying to use it in the daytime. Oh well :manny:

otherwise, the picture quality isn't bad at all. Some people get real cynical about resolutions when the reality is you can't tell the difference unless you sitting in the "sweet spot" which most people are oblivious to.
What I just said is a fact, even if it don't apply to you.

Could that make like a port strip that's seperate? So all hdmi optical m usb and power are on this proprietary adapter that connects to the tv via one wire

Kinda how the iPhone has hdmi output via an adapter but bigger and with more connections.
