Getting a HC job off one good year as an OC
Adam Gase (Adam Base from what he looks in the pic....that New York Yay0 hit different versus Miami)
Yeah that whole situation was wild:
- Bucs wanted to give Coen a big raise which they were negotiating. The Bucs told him to go take an interview with the Jags just to go through the hiring process to see what it's like
- Coen asked for a number, which the Bucs agreed to - on the condition that Coen doesn't take a second interview with the Jags
- Coen and the Bucs agree. Coen even tells offensive staff and players he's coming back
- Baalke gets fired
- Bucs try to get Coen to sign his extension, he goes radio silent(he claims his son was sick)
- Coen finally reaches out to the Bucs, tells them the situation has changed and he's exploring the Jags job(there were reports he was already in Jacksonville doing his second interview)
- Coen is hired as HC of the Jags
