Its something that i can't comprehend that any time anybody puts out a strong point of view people just become berated. Its understandable why people prefer to keep their beliefs to themselves and in business and entertainment its always best to keep politics a non discussion

whatever, she put herself out there. I don't think she intended to do so on such a national scale, but I guess that's what happens when you're the parent of a celebrity. plus I guess the fact her and her celebrity son seem to have different political views interests people

They should have left her alone, or kept their criticism civil.

That being said, the stupid idea that one is a hypocrite for not tolerating bigotry or for not tolerating intolerance itself is an annoying argument that must be called out. Yes, being intolerant of intolerance is part of tolerance- that's not a contradiction. Every social vision needs to exclude something in order to retain coherence, whatever that may be. Pointing that out in the context of tolerance is not an argument of any kind. Tolerance is ultimately a more tolerant value system than the stereotypical Conservative one- that's part of why it was named so.
