Were any of you taught about the colonziation of "Liberia" by Free and manumitted U.S. slaves in school? If yes, what grade, what city, what kind of school (mostly "black", mixed, private, public, etc.)?

If no, were you even aware of this colonziation?

Im asking because I've never been formaly taught of anything about this in the schools ive attended and am curious if any schools are teaching this.......

I learned about it on my own. Yes, it's very ironic. The blacks get sent to Liberia by Monroe, and promptly enslave the natives. In actuality, it's always been this way. This whole black/white thing is for control. Reality is that Native Americans, blacks, Asians, indians, always had slaves/indentured servants etc. There cannot be an existence of an advanced civilization without an underclass, ironic as it is. Forget Liberia, there were freed blacks and Native Americans with slaves, believe it or not. Hate it or love it, Euro whites mastered a game that was already being played on all continents.

It was extremely brief in high school, 11th grade. I didn't learn more on it till college when I took AA studies. And even then, I didn't really learn much. I know more about Sierre Leone than I do about Liberia.

Never was taught that,or the fact that Africans sold each other into Slavery.I thought white folks just ran into Africa on some straight gully shyt and just took everyone until I was like 16.
