If that's true then why are people still sad when they have children, and some trying their best to not have them? We are told the reason for having children is the continuation of our genes, but I disagree, I think we have children so that we won't be alone as we get older, and have them help support us. Some just have children just to live vicariously through them. It's mostly for selfish reasons. I think the average person says its about legacy because they heard it a million times, but the average person has no legacy to carry on! That theory most likely was accepted from Rich people who did want their legacy to live on because they didn't want others to acquire their wealth or notoriety when they died, and since most follow the rich and/or famous, that theory became the law of the west. We live here so we accept the theory, but I don't think that theory is true, in totality.procreation and the perpetuation of life
But that is my point!Human intelligence may be an avoidable evolutionary accident
