A live-action “Life Is Strange” TV series has been greenlit at Amazon Prime Video, Variety has learned exclusively.

Based on the video game franchise of the same name, the show will be written by Charlie Covell, who also serves as executive producer and showrunner. Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson will executive produce under their Story Kitchen banner. The series comes from Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap, with Amazon MGM Studios producing.

Per the official logline, the story follows Max, “a photography student, who discovers she can rewind time while saving the life of her childhood best friend, Chloe. As she struggles to understand this new skill, the pair investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, uncovering a dark side to their town that will ultimately force them to make an impossible life or death choice that will impact them forever.”

That first game came out at the perfect for myself and most people. The game wasn’t perfect, but it was a breath of fresh air that became an instant cult hit that had the computers putin

It’s a shame that the devs have never been able to recreate that magic

This could be a dope series. They can do the first game beat for beat but they gotta just make sure the kids feel realistic

Need to call up the people who made American Vandal. Most realistic portrayal of teens ive ever seen on TV
