lifestylez and its not even close

The Big Picture isn't a cohesive project songs were just placed together after L died

Wish Big L could have lived and put it out correctly

the bolded part. Big Picture had some joints on it: Triboro, Holdin It Down, Ebonics, Casualties of a Dice Game. But like the quoted message says this isn the most accurate picture of what L woudla put out. If the Rocafella rumors were true we might've had Jay, Bleek, Beans, etc on there which would have made it even better

Big Picture has the better blend of production and lyrics . Lifestyles was valid but I feel like the production was outdated for the timeframe it dropped in

cant punish it for getting pushed back.

i dont listen to it as a '95 album. i judge it off of when it was intended to drop.
the original version was even better. so putting it in the perspective of the timeframe that it was intended for - its an all-time classic in my book.

Ft. Stewart, Ga
Lifestyles because its a proper album.

And just because some of the production sounds dated doesn’t mean its bad. Its just a product of its time. L was still ripping that shyt and its not like ANY of those beats was Can-I-Bus levels of bad

the only one derailing this thread is you.

i made one comment, then moved on and contributed to the thread.

youre the one thats dwelling on the chit. and to make matters worse, you have contributed absolutely nothing to the thread and have yet to comment on the actual topic.

go away geek.

I know most OG heads will say Poor and Dangerous and it's the better album, but Big Picture was my introduction to Big L and one of the most memorable albums of my life. I was a little young for Poor and Dangerous when it dropped so I missed it. I was mesmerized by Big Picture. Plus, I was really getting my love for production at the time, and I was obsessed with everything that Primo and Pete Rock were doing; they both had multiple beats each on there.

So even though Big Picture was pieced together after he passed (RIP) and probably not quite as sharp, it's one of the most impactful albums of my life, so I had to vote for it.

:wow: Big L Rest in Peace
