I love like a dragon but not even close.

It's up there as far as a great jrpg though

To add more, there is more to do in like a dragon, it's basically everything you'd want out of a jrpg but modernize with more "realistic" and it ties and links all yakuza games together.

But the end of the game which is great is also kinda :francis:

ff7RE is just more polished, and super meta and everything it does it does with a S+ tier while yakuza does more but some of it is B tier instead of A.

remake lacks the side content of Yakuza though

Haven't touched Like a Dragon, but FF Vii Remake is a very good JRPG (as far as AAA games are concerned it was easily my GOTY from last year), but it still has some issues. Combat is good (I'd rank it an A), but it definitely can be improved. I feel there is a lot they can improve with the ATB system. I do understand that they wanted to keep it kind of similar to the OG in some regards, but there should be A.I. options to allow your party member to use some of their gauges and abilities. Once you master it becomes great, but it definitely takes a while to get a hang of it. It is just hard to compare it to other JRPG's because it doesn't feel like your typical Action JRPG, but it is clearly not turn-based.

Story-wise is much closer to a B+/A- as someone who hasn't played the original yet. The issue is we don't have the full story in terms of the remake. The characters hard carry IMO(Easily S++ tier in terms of characters). Again depending on what direction they take the remaining parts could live up to the original and be S tier. After 12 FF has been kind of inconsistent so it is very hard not to have doubts. Music is obviously great, but that is what you expected out of a JRPG nowadays.

Damn i wish i could get hype to get back into Like A Dragon. I’m about 10-12 hours in (chapter 4) and I’m just incredibly bored with it.

FF7R wasn’t in my top 5 last year but I at least managed to finish it.
