We knew something fishy was going on when Lil B lost the "Pacific" region of the Grammys' fan-chosen "Gig of a Lifetime" contest to a virtually unknown pop-punk band. There was even some speculation that the contest was rigged, or that Lil B was unfairly booted. The true story is much simpler: Lil B, like many of us, has trouble staying on top of his email inbox.
"Also thank you to cbs and the grammys.forgive me for reading my emails late, thats why i didnt perform i missed grammys email crazy", he wrote on Twitter this weekend. He confirmed the story by email, saying that "cbs personally emailed [him] about the grammys."
"I read my emails late," he told us. Maybe by Grammy season of next year he'll have hired an assistant?
