You need broad appeal in order to perform at the Superbowl.

The audience would not be excited for them, 95% of them wouldnt know the lyrics and some may not even know the artists.

the SB was in ATL which has a richer present day musical history and impact than NOLA and OutKast, JD, Lil Jon or none of other 100s of artists they could’ve gotten didn’t perform. Maroon fckin 5 was the headliner.
