Man no new york artist has shown me any type of lyrical skill since the early 2000s. They have been whack for so long they need to show us in the south they can rap. At this point hip hop started in Atlanta with Kilo Ali

Man, I use to come from Bham when I was little to go to Atlanta and my cousins use to clown us talking about Bham radio wack, atl had I think V103 and they was playing everything, so they was talking all kinda shyt about Kilo Ali this when "The most beautiful girl in the world" was playing I couldn't have been older than 11.
I was like man that nikka sound like a fakkit. nikka my girl cousin who was older and bigger and being honest I wouldn't wanna throw hands with in 2025 was HUGE MAD. "YOU JUST FROM BIRMINGHAM"

Nah Kilo hand movements and gestures were questionable. In the song Baby Baby he even had to tell the people he wasn't. I know Lil Flips accomplishments but to say you were trying to show NY the south could rap then he failed. He didn't even move the needle. When UGK dropped Super tight and Ridin Dirty , NYC cats who knew rap respected the hell out of Bun B and by the time Big Pimping dropped he was considered a lyrical beast from the south. There were a bunch of rappers from the south NYC considered nice like that, Lil Flip was not one of them
