Lil Jon is giving back to those less fortunate in Ghana and helping build a second school.

It appears Lil Jon has been doing some good with his fame & fortune recently and giving back to those less fortunate. Back in October, the hit DJ opened up a kindergarten in the country of Ghana, which he dedicated to the Abomayaw community and his late mother, Carrie M. Smith. And now just a few months later, he’s doing it all over again & breaking ground on a second school.

According to CNN, a second school in which Lil Jon helped fund with his partnership with the charity, Pencils of Promise, reportedly broke ground last month in Ghana. It will be called Mafi Atitekpo DA Primary School, and enroll 313 children.

To help get the two schools off the ground, Lil Jon has donated $70,000 of his own money. "I'm all about helping children," he said. "Children are our future and every child deserves to have an environment where they can learn and flourish and gain knowledge.”

Lil Jon first visited Ghana last year, and what he saw on that trip inspired him to help out. "When I saw the conditions where these children were trying to learn, one community they had a big mango tree and two classes were sitting under the mango tree and that's not a condition conducive with learning," he told CNN. "Kids are going to get distracted, plus it's extremely hot. It compelled me to want to do more.”

"Children shouldn't have to suffer for any reason," he continued. "One of these kids could grow up to be a scientist, a lawyer, an astronaut, the president of their country. I could create an environment where all these things could happen."

This news comes just hours before the EDM hitmaker officially drops off a new single called “Alive” featuring 2 Chains & Offset.

Check out the posts (below), and keep your eyes peeled for the single

not sure how I feel about this.

Ghana can't open their own schools?

What are you talking about? :what:

Ghana is well known for having very good education system with all kinds of Africans(yes, even francophones) going there and has one of the top 10 universities in all of Africa.:what:

You gotta give to get, never forget that. Let ghana blow up like the world trade (in a good way lol) , imagine what that would mean for national investors, lil jon included. Skys the limit

Now on the flip side, what would be a potential return on investment on dealing DIRECTLY us(african Americans) in a philanthropic sense? People dont fukk wit us, cause theres nothing in it for them...like frozen chitlins, thats some cold shyt...but its where we are at the moment

So I guess American black children don't need any help within the educational system??? These schools need additional resources to help reform, afterschool and social programs implemented, training/job programs, etc. Some kids don't even have computers or advanced learning technologies, let alone books.

I think you need to look up the word philanthropic because you seem to be confused on the meaning of the word.

I heard that Lil Jon song the other day. Just sounds like he tried to recreate turn down for what.
