As eluded to in my previous "A History Of Violence" post, sometimes the streets really do coincide with the music industry. In this case, Junior M.A.F.I.A.'s "Get Money" video showcased a gang of Brooklyn gangsters, but none more prominently than famed stick-up kid/all around hustler Ivory "Nut" Davis. That's right, Nut is the homie in the good Coogi cardigan sitting in the chair getting all of Lil Kim's attention throughout portions of this video. What's so special about this you ask? It's all about irony yall.
See, according to the government (NOTE: The Feds are known to lie and feed misinformation to the streets) Damien "World" Hardy put the hit out on Nut and nikkas lit him up in his Range Rover on his way home from club NV in August of 2000. As quoted from a U.S. Department of Justice/United States Attorney of the Eastern District of New York detention letter CP:BJR File #2004R01761 Re: United States v. Damion Hardy, et al., as taken from the original superseding indictment against Damien "World" Hardy, counts 3 & 4 read as follows:

The Murder of Darryl Baum
DAMION HARDY, ERIC MOORE and ZAREH SARKISSIAN are
charged with the murder of Darryl Baum, also known as “Homicide,”
on June 10, 2000. HARDY targeted Darryl Baum because of his
association with Ivory Davis, a rival drug dealer whose nephew,
Rumel Davis, shot and killed HARDY’s brother, Myron Hardy. MOORE
shot Darryl Baum in the back of the head at the corner of Quincy
Street and Marcy Avenue in Brooklyn, and subsequently fled in a
get-away car driven by SARKISSIAN. Darryl Baum died from the
gunshot wound inflicted by MOORE.

The Murder of Ivory Davis
DAMION HARDY, ERIC MOORE and DWAYNE MEYERS are charged
with conspiring to murder Ivory Davis, also known as “Peanut.”
HARDY and the CMB targeted Davis because he was a rival drug
dealer and because his nephew, Rumel Davis, shot and killed
HARDY’s brother, Myron Hardy. At approximately 4:00 a.m. on the
morning of August 10, 2000, MOORE, carrying a .40 caliber handgun
that belonged to MEYERS, shot Davis twice in the back. Davis,
who was parked in front of Club NV, a nightclub on the corner of
Spring Street and Hudson Street in Manhattan, attempted to drive
away from the scene. However, Davis lost control of his vehicle
and drove up on the sidewalk, striking and killing an innocent
bystander (an Austrian filmmaker named Jhoan Camitz). Davis
subsequently died from his gunshot wounds."
So, who is World? Ohhhhhhhhh, he's only an O.G. from L.G. projects in Brooklyn (of course) who once dated Lil Kim (AFTER the "Get Money" video) and is said to have clapped @ 50 Cent in the parking lot of a Doubletree Hotel in New Jersey in 2004 for gettin' fly @ the mouth with the Queen B on air @ Hot 97. Anyway, the murder of Nut was supposedly in retaliation for the earlier killing of World's brother Wise ... Nut and World's issues preceeded any involement, on either of their parts, with Lil Kim and aint got shyt to do with shorty.
Today though, the hood says that another person was indeed responsible for World's brother's untimely demise. This terrible tale is linked in with some heavy hood stories including, but not limited to, those of Homicide (Mentioned in the superseding indictment and rumored to be the man that shot 50 Cent 9 times on the order of Supreme and Murder INC.), Mike Tyson and others too numerous and/or personal to get into on a blog.
