A couple things here:
- Obviously as a fan i support freedom of speech, but it seems like some of you forget that this is a two way street. Rappers should say what they want, and the public should be able to respond how they want as well. Pepsi/reebok didn't make their calls to drop these nikkas based on some moral compass. They attracted more negativity than they were worth, end of story. Was i rooting for him to lose his deal? no, but i wasn't rooting against it either, and here's why.
- All of you a$$holes who talked all that "bu bu buut ross rapped about guns, drugs, killings and they didn't drop him for that"...This right here is proof positive that if the offended party makes enough noise about the shyt, things can get done. Feminists put in work for their cause...The best thing about this wayne/mountain dew shyt is that BLACK PEOPLE flexed their buying power and influence on what kind of bullshyt companies will get behind.
- I don't want this to set a precedent where rappers in general just can't get endorsement money for saying anything...but if that's the case so be it, more incentive to do our own shyt, from beverages to sneaker lines to record companies and distribution. The trade off is worth it.
