NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I remember the same thing happened with Thug and Fetty. When Thug first came on the scene everyone thought he was 21 when he was really 23.
Yea. I remember when Nicki Minaj first blew up and she was running wit 85 and I thought that was funny cause I knew the chick personally. She was lying like a muhfukka. Lol

:birdman:wasnt letting that nikka go anywhere

Juvenile even alluded to the fact that wayne was scared to go when he was beefing with CMB..

Baby/Slim pretty much had the vice grip on him..

shyt when BG left cmr and was talking bout he was gonna make it hard for baby to come back to New Orleans and Juvie was talking that Cash Money Killa shyt beatrice put killers on the payroll. Wayne was left by his self surrounded by the sharks...

You my son...You staying right chea with me...:birdman:

He offered Wayne 175,000...after lollipop and a milli...that is disrespectful...300000 should have been the starting point if being respectful. And every artist needs continued development. im not saying he needs the treatment of a new artist...but the behind the scenes strategizing to keep an artist relevant is the same as the continual development of an artist...I don't think Jay was interested in that...it certainly wouldn't have lasted until today. And Jay had the ability to stay away from Jay Cole because no one knew JC....but Jay would have been expected to do certain things with Wayne because of the enormity of his name....think snoop and PAC after Pacs deathrow arrival, the public would have expected and demanded it.

Jay was merely showing Wayne that baby was a small fry...or at least certainly not the biggest fish in the pond. Why else would you conduct business in that manner...we're talking about the potential dollar amount that I'm goin to feed my family with...in the mist of your raucous fraternizing with jeter and other celebs...im lil Wayne and in the midst of these people you offer me pennies and I have to negotiate my end in your club amongst your high profile crew...he definitely was stunting and attempting to lil man Wayne. Basically, go tell ya boss :birdman:how we livin.
nikka what u talking bout, this is around the time right after carter 1. Not after carter 3, stop speaking on shyt u don't know bout

You sure you not thinking in hindsight though? I don't think generic sounding, regular sensitive guy with stories was starting any bidding wars back at that time:patrice:...Stack was DEFINITLEY a better spitter than J Cole,J Cole might be more marketable to black women which is huge in hiphop...But we gon say a lightskin nikka with rhymes waaay slicker than Drake didn't have as high of a ceiling as J Cole? The Jay cosign would've pushed him through the roof:mjcry:
Nah not hindsight, by the time Cole and Stack was coming up the game had already changed to prefer guys like Cole over street spitters...

I think Stack could have been as big as Meek at best if everything went right. The go-to mainstream street artist...

Cole could spit, produce, even do melodies/harmonize on hooks, way more reach because he's more relatable to the average consumer, potential to have the college demographic on smash, women love him dude is 6'3 and lightskinned no homo :whoa: he could do the R&B features, I think overall he had a better ear for music, and more versatile as an artist.
