North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Go back and listen to listen to songs and cameo's from 2007 on up or so and this nikka was garbage. Some of the worst raps ever and this nikka was getting praises out the ass.

What's so striking to me is at the height of bamboozle rap he signs to mc's that can out rap him with ease in Drake and Nikki Minaj. The only reason why he starting talking that retirement shyt is because people were finally starting to pay attention to the lyrics.

Nah…That was a lot of GREAT Wayne material in 2007, I think there was so much some was bound to be trash, but his real fall of started with 'Carter 3' and going forward….2007 had the leaked 'Carter' sessions and that is some of, if not his best work, second only to maybe 'Carter 1' and 'Carter 2'….'Something You Forgot', 'I'm Me', 'Im'a Beast', 'One Night Only', 'p*ssy Money Weed', 'Pray To The Lord', 'Trouble', 'World Of Fantasy', 'Scarface'…..That was the highlight of summer 2007 to me...

Wayne has always been :trash:to me...I literally can't even think of a song where he was even somewhat impressive. That "best rapper alive" talk back in the day and how much people actually believed it had me like :mindblown: I don't understand what people are listening to when they say that The Carter 1 and 2 are classics...I just don't get it. C2 had like two great songs, yes, but it wasn't Wayne's terrible rapping that made them great - it was mostly the choruses and the beats. I feel like I'm completely missing something when people talk about "the old Wayne"...he has always sounded like shyt to me.:manny:

Wayne has had an incredible run and it was interesting to watch, but he's always had lyrics that were garbage. I still :laff: at the notion that Wayne lyrically fell off with Carter IV. The previous Carters had some garbage lyrics on them too. Maybe the delivery was more confident and his charisma was more obvious which possibly made the lyrics on the previous Carters passable, but dude was never the caliber of lyricist he was made out to be.

Don't get me wrong, Wayne has had his moments of brilliance, but nothing to warrant a "best rapper alive" claim.
