This happens to me all the time when I listen to older hip hop albums. I start noticing lines/beats/concepts that were copied by newer rappers like
I'll start with LL Cool J since he recently humiliated himself
1. The line: "you just a worker and your boss is my man"
First time I heard the line it was Jadakiss dissing Beans on "Un-Hunh" but thats actually an LL line from this song:
LL Cool J - The Breakthrough (with lyrics) - YouTube
2. The song: "Grills" by Nelly ft. Paul Wall and Gipp
The sample, Nelly's entire flow and the line "I wouldn't change it for nothing, only a crazy man would" was taken from this song:
3. The line: "What the hell are you looking for, can't a young man make money any more"
Kanye on Theraflu, Redman on "What You Lookin 4" and Ma$e on "Lookin At Me" all got it from this song:
Song also inspired the whole "pulled over by the cops" concept used on '99 Problems, What You Lookin 4 and "Gangsta (Put Me Down) by the Geto Boys (Scarface also Redman on the song when he shows the cop his picture on the Source)
Please add on.
