I honestly think these safaris don't tell people that wild animals operate by smell as much as anything else.
Mans was out there probably spritzing on eau de coldcuts before going to dinner.

Once it tastes human meat it will actively hunt humans if they see one
It is a lion being a lion, but it is the same reason they shoot the bears that do it. It'll attach eating humans as sustainable and possibly spread the activity to other groups.

I was planning a safari in Tanzania last thanksgiving that fell through for personal reasons and that was one of the main things that made me 
when I was researching mid safari camp sites. They swear it's safe but shyt didn't add up to me. Pretty much all the african predators are active at night so having restrooms outside of the tent seemed wild risky to me.
Overall I questioned if any of the safari businesses report incidents, some of the shyt they do seems risky but I guess they go out there every day so they know whether it's safe to turn an OPEN jeep off mere feet from a lion pride and shyt like that
