they ain't in a weightlifting competition. gorilla will run in and get clawed up and fukked up with ease. his only chance is to grab the lion and beat it down, but while he is trying to do that he will be getting gutted and will probably have his head bitten off.A gorilla can lift about 2 tonnes.

On one end we have the lion who's pretty much the king of predators, has the speed and claws to blitz and disable their prey.
On the other end the Gorilla is a vegetarian and not really a fighter but the density of it's muscles and it's strength would have a prey dead after a few hits. It's also intelligent so that plays a factor.
