i can gon on and on bout the abstract lyrics and production, but for the simple fact there's never a dull moment on this album. every track is just as interestin' as the next and them some with the skits

it's impossible to say what the GOAT album is but this is my favorite hip hop album ever. I prefer it slightly ahead of Illmatic (which was my #1 for a long time)

But Supreme Clientele is one of a few albums that are on that plateau.

With Supreme Clientele it was ghosts abstract style, flow, lyrics and performance on every song that makes it a classic imo. The overall production was excellent but not on the levels of OB4Cl, liquid swords and mabe even ironman. Those albums also each contain groundbreaking lyricism. Its a shame there will never be another group like wu:
93: Enter the wu-tang
94-95: tical & Return to the 36
95-96: OB4CL & Liquid Swords
96-97: Ironman & Wu- Forever
98-99: Pillage, Tical 2000 & Bobbi d (all3 albums criminally underrated)

99-00 Beneath the Surface, Blackout! and Supreme Clientele

Any of those albums could go on a nikkas top 5 albu list depending on the person and theres still more classics after that

i'd argue that supreme clientele's production is on the level of only built, liquid swords and definitely ironman
