Dude....This isn't a Bone thread. And in all honesty, You know who was really running sh*t between 1993 - 1997??

Garth Brooks.

But no one is bringing up Garth Brooks because this isn't a Garth Brooks thread.

bigbadbossup is crying for attention as usual. It's a usual play of his and :russell: as fukk at this point. He is best ignored.

Naa....I think dude just didnt have the drive that we wanted him to have.

Rza was carrying most of the Wu and it showed as the years passed.

Look at what happened when Rza didnt do all the beats....we got Immobilarity and Tical 0....Yet when Rza executive produced Ghostfaces 2nd we got Supreme Clientele.

Meth had the platform at his helm and Jay Z just came and outdid him. When I saw Red and Meth opening up for Jay Z that was the eye opener for us all....Jay Z was supposed to be opening up for Meth not the other way around. 2001 was the transition of Jay Z being that dude with Blueprint while the Wu put out a dud with Iron Flag, this was the exchange from Wu being the biggest reps of NY at the time to The Roc being the biggest reps.....Wu wear was old and everyone was rocking Rocka wear.....By the time ODB joined The Roc...Jay Z was bigger then anything we had thought Meth would be.

We overhyped Meth and what he became was the outcome.
You bring up some good points. Meth definitely had next after Biggie passed. I really don't think he had the desire to be that guy tho. Plus he always shined brightest on group tracks

I'm sure many have problems with your unconventional stances, does that mean you're looking for attention as well?

This album perfectly recreated the feeling of being really blazed off some shyt you thought might be laced, in a dark basement that a friend of a friend took you to, to cop some trees.

Just straight up grimy on all fronts.

I fukked with Release Yo Delf, and Bring The Pain tuff, but Mr. Sandman was my shyt. :ohlawd:

Pharoahe had a tune that flipped the chorus of 'I Get My Thang In Action' from 'Innervisions' that I heard him perform in London years ago. Then it was never mentioned again. shyt was fire.:leon:

gotta give props to the wu even after they made they money, they came back in 97' with some hard hittin' music with wu-tang forever. hip hop was changin' and becomin' more and more mainstream and yet wu still dropped some of the hardest shyt and it was a double disc album too! :whew:

People always say '93-'97 (Wu-Forever), but even after that and they put out some heat in '98 as well. In '97 you get Silent Weapons, Pick/Sickle/Shovel. In '98 you get T2, not great but still a solid effort, Bobby Digital had some of RZA's greatest lyrics, some of his strangest and fascinating beats, La the Darkman AND their best compilation The Swarm.

I think Tical 2 is criminally underrated. The only thing I don't like about that album are the amount of skits. Classic album imo
