Not fake. I grew up in Alaska for some years...and I loved it!
You will see moose near the bus stop. If you see a baby moose, go back in the house because the mother might not be far behind and they will attack.
You'll see bears in your backyard too. I saw a couple of black bears around the base when I was there.
I SAW A GROUP OF MEESE ONCE. THEY'RE BIG AS HELL.
crazy i had a cousin who was stationed in alaska and he loved it too. just met a Black chick from there and she said she wanted to go back.
The beast would hoof you in your thigh and once you're on the ground really give you the business.

Anytime I’ve watched Alaska tourism or adventure shows it looked good. But the time period of light all the time, or dark all the time would get to me.
think i'd like the dark. i have a potna who lived there for a couple years and the way he described it is crazy. said there comes a day where everyday after that you lose an hour of daylight a day until it's dark all the time, then you lose an hour of darkness everyday until it's light again.

I actually wanted to move back there. Turns out the cost of living is high and my career field don't have jobs open that often.

Alaska is beautiful but the poverty is stunning. It almost reminds me of visiting Mexico and islands where you do tourism stuff but can still see the poverty hidden in various places. You see that a bit in Hawaii. And just like Hawaii, the indigenous people there hate white people lmao. And I don't blame them.
