UPDATE 6:45PM: Live Nation, the company behind Joey's show and others at Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theatre lined up for Govenors Ball's "After Dark" event series, has canceled or postponed all shows in the series. This includes Mac Miller's performance scheduled for Friday, June 3 at Irving Plaza. YG (Gramercy) and Vince Staples' (Irving Plaza) shows have also been canceled, though those two weren't included in the "After Dark" series.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, a spokesperson for Irving Plaza and Gramercy explained the decision was directly correlated to the Irving Plaza shooting that took place last Wednesday. "In light of last week's tragic event, we are acting with an overabundance of caution and coordinating a going forward strategy with the New York Police Department that may also include a curfew. Because these discussions with New York Police Department are ongoing, we will be postponing a few of our upcoming shows."
