I respect the South for its bigger Sq mile real estate for cheaper mortgages and more relaxed atmosphere and people.
However, the South ain't touching the cultural diversity, entertainment, and hustle based culture of the North.

The South- the nice whether and the beaches 
oh and the cheap housing (except when you touch Florida).
The North (based on when I lived in Philly)- the entertainment, the night life were nothing compared to the South at all.

1) Better Education ( Elementary school all the way to colleges)
