No, he didn't, that's what started the beef. Canibus rewrote his verse, but LL kept his the same.

i stand corrected :myman:

i meant he studied canibus vocals & laid his response. which is still pretty corny imo. i aint think the mic reference was that serious. ll was insecure for sure which is an L in itself

I thought I was the only one that thought LL  by dissing Tyson, nikka dissed a crazy professional fighter.

Further proves that rappers was tougher back then, LL dissed Tyson when he was still wild.

Nooooo :dead:

The hang up dial tone being a part of the beat :heh:

That hook :laff:

What's cleff got to do got to do with this :blessed:

I'm not an Bob Marley Imposter :blessed:

Noami Cambell randomly coming on at the end to say LL record was wack :pachaha:

Reminds me of this....

Which is also an :laff: song, but that beat though :whew:

First of all, LL destroyed Canibus and that was it.

Anything else said here or elsewhere to the contrary is revisionist history.

But, this was not bigger, more interesting, more relevant, etc. than Jay and Nas' battle.

I honestly feel like you should have to show legal proof of your age to make/respond to threads like this.

false. Canibus just changed the first two bars of his original verse.

"Yo Meth where the God's at? Red where the squad at? Yo L is that a mic on your arm? Lemme borrow that!!.......Canibus is the type to fight for mics blah blah"

hence LL's "you don't wanna borrow that" line. So it's clear L wrote his after he heard Bis' original verse. Thing is, L should've let him keep the line in there especially if he was planning on a rebuttal. That woulda been dope

LL laughing at canibus in that vulgar fashion at the end of where i belong pretty much confirmed him as the winner

This battle was better lyically, Ether and Takeover is :ld: compared to the songs in the LL/Canibus battle.

Those first three songs in that LL/Bis battle is so :ohlawd: lyrically and technically, them nikkas was rapping their ass off, shyt was beautiful :ahh:

Only songs in the Jay/Nas battle that came close was Stillmatic freestyle.

Yep, I pictured LL in the booth making the :russ: face when he recorded the outro. Then the Rocky sample as the track faded out was dope :wow:

I was too young back then but the LL and Kool Moe Dee battle was ten times legendary based on my hip hop history research.
