Akademiks can’t call anybody dusty cause even with whatever money he makes. He still looks like a :flabbynsick: nikka.

And LL was right about everything. When hip hop first started it was thought to be a fad or novelty. Labels didn’t even believe in putting out rap albums because they didn’t think they’d sell. It didn’t get the full support of the black community it gets now because you still had those uppity quiet storm ass nikkas. And there was heavy segregation and discrimination not just against rappers but the majority of black artists back than.

Don’t make LL do it to you meatballs

Considering how most artists across all genres never gave a fukk about the money is wild to equate their success/creativity with their bank account.

it’s a fukking shame LL had to even discuss this.
When your genre has a culture that celebrates fashion/jewelry/cars, the resource needed to acquire them is placed at a premium. It's a built-in flaw.
