Which one was the bigger hoe move and MC violation?

LL getting in his feelings cuz he misconstrued a young Bis lines about taking the mic off his arm as a diss when it could kinda be seen as props, and then phone taping convos and not changing his verse on 4,3,2,1

or

Big Sean letting Kendrick wax him on his own shyt and publicly call him out by name along with a million other rappers and keeping quiet as a church mouse?

The Control hing was a huge debacle and to this day I think the only rappers I still have a shred of respect for that got called out in that joint are Meek (cuz he responded) and Drake (he at least tried to bait K.Dot) all these other dudes got their 'Im the best and you dont wanna battle me' backpacker card revoked

But I feel like L inda went overboard on Canibus.... the only song that had this kinda situation play out the right was Stomp

Canibus recorded the phone convo and LL didn't misconstrue the mic thing. They had a discussion about it prior where Canibus said he wanted to get something similar and LL told him to do him. Canibus should have left it alone at that point. "Yo L is that a mic on yo arm? let me borrow that." "Canibus is the type to fight for mics." "Snatch your crown with your head still attached to it." LL's mic has a crown on it. I blamed LL for years but looking back Canibus instigated it. LL still lost though but it never should have went down.

ohhh alright I always thought LL was the one who pushed bis into a corner and pulled a 50 on him

that line was disrespectful but really not enough to go that crazy for, the ll response verse alone on the same track is one of the goat sublims

to answer op... WHY would big sean be mad at kendrick? Control isn't an official song, they couldn't clear the sample issues and sean sent it to kendrick and said he could do whatever the fukk he wanted of that beat.

Kdot decided to freestyle over it and recorded it in a bus during the yeezus tour... then sean decided to release it for free cuz he thought the buzz was going to push his album.

Big Sean decided to drop that song, he had no reason to be mad. Also kendrick didn't diss anybody, Meek & drake actually got shytted on for taking that shyt too seriously. Like Eminem said: "if you are mad then you don't understand hip hop"

It was Sean's decision to upload Control on the internet so he had no reason to be mad at him for what was a throwaway verse from kendrick. Dude was just toying with the song and Sean dropped it just before the release of his album.

You can't be mad at the guy who helped you to promote your cd :stopitslime:

I think this plays more to the de-masculinity and toning done of hip-hop over the years is what Im trying to say

like bis just said he wanted to borrow l's tat cuz he was a stan and todd took that shyt as a reason to damn near bury him :dead:

then fast forward a few years and you got ken talking bout ill murder you nikkas and make sure your fans never heard of you nikkas but the dudes who responded or felt some type of way are seen as the ones taking it overboard :whoa:

with the resurgence of battle rap as something 'hot' in the community should we go back to battling over every slight disrespect or keep it the way its been the last few years and only battle as a last resort? imo the level headed dudes should be getting it in on wax whenever possible to prve their boasts, i just dont want to see street cat talk that shyt too much cuz they dont know how to act and then you have worldstar situations that make all of us look bad....

Control just really killed a whole angle of competition in hip-hop. Shawty called out half of rap and except for drake all they did was shake hands and pop bottles. This Buggati Boys, Ciroc Boys, era where NBA teams clubbing with their opponents is really wack for the fans. Remember when dudes used to brawl over subliminals? Like I don't wanna see nobody get hurt but damn can you at least respond in song to your name being called?
