He really has nothing to do with that wave so I'm not sure why he said that. Would be foolish to think it started in the UK but out there they been on tracksuits heavy even when I was there 20 years ago. They barely wore any other shyt.

I don’t really know how the trend took off in North America but as you say we been wearing track suits since the late 90s here in the UK (I grew up so stopped when I was 16). And tech fleeces been big for years. So although not Central Cee, if the tech fleece wave did take off big in the US I’d be surprised if the original influence wasn’t the UK, even if it’s a specific US rapper seeing it, rocking it and then people follow.
