I think what he's saying is that Gordon Heyward and Chandsome are much better players than anyone the Lakers signed this offseason. To lump them all in as "role players" is a little misleading.

You're talking about guys that averaged 16/17 points a game, and shoot 35-40% from 3 and have shown themselves to be really good passers as well.

Of course they can be a key part to a great team.
