I've been following Locksmith's career since he was a battle mc on Sway and King Tech Show back in the early 2000's. Over a next few years, he disappeared and reappeared( mid 2008-9) a transformed artist with dope concept pieces in his mixtapes and his ep. However as his popularity came, so was the pressure to transform himself again as a mainstream act. He drops "Olive Branch" with dope lyrics and concept tracks but the production and hooks lack any real depth or connection to his lyrics. He also tries to sound like some of the well known trap like rappers. None of it fit except a few songs. Even the RnB singers hooks weren't good. The production has a generic sound that makes the artist fall into a long long of dope mc's with weak or wack beats. Let's hope his next effort can be more put together.
