Samuel L. Jacksons wife has opened up about the little-known struggles of the couples 40-year relationship, telling fans her husband is smart but emotionally disconnected.
Actress and TV producer LaTanya Richardson wed The Avengers star in 1980 after a long courtship, but Richardson admits their relationship hasnt always been easy.
She reveals shed sometimes call the actor while he was filming on location to see if he missed her, only for him to say, No.
Speaking to The New York Times Magazine, she says, I felt abandoned. It was easier in the earlier years when we sometimes acted together onstage.
And even though Richardson insists the secret to their longevity is amnesia, the 62-year-old insists their bond has greatly improved over time.
She adds, Hes changing. The other day I cut my hand and he took me to the hospital. Years ago, Id have to go by myself.
Props on her for realizing she can't do any better and humbling herself enough to stay all these years...
