No, people working at Mcdonalds do not have apartments. I'm apart of the working class and people making above minimum wage can barely afford to get by. A lot of the living situations aren't too different from the grads in that article

You shouldn't have more than 25K out unless you're going to a Top 25 Undergrad, or plan on being in the Top 10% of your class and have internships lined up every summer and during the school year.

They couldnt have reasonably expected a good paying job out the gate with those majors. You have to grind your ass off in fields like that and somehow solidify yourself as a good writer or teacher in those subjects in addition to being knowledgeable to get anywhere..plus the people in those areas already stay there FOREVER.
i meant career. i highly doubt the religious or film studies fields have a decent turnover rate..in fact i bet they have some of the lowest percentages of people retiring/leaving the field across the country
