the fact that EVERY area of car technology has improved exponentially OTHER than fuel economy for the most part in my lifetime makes no sense.

I just think it's ridiculous that my first car which was an 87 cavalier gets the same mileage as my current car which is a 05 acura tl.

mind you, my current car has a lot more technological improvements over my old 87 cavalier. how have computers, tv's, cell phones and technology as a whole improved so much, but when it comes to fuel economy improvements, it's like

This invention is nothing new and could of been done decades ago. The oil industry is too lucrative to ever let a cheaper alternative become available to the public and car manufactures have assisted oil companies in this. This is why car manufactures and oil lobbyist want to put Tesla motors out of business. big oil is tied to the politicians. big oil is one of the biggest lobbying groups for both parties. they have so much money and will spread it around to ANY and EVERY politician to insure that the gov't has their best interest in whatever laws that get passed.

yup, you know the deal. last disease that was actually cured was polio back during WWII. there's too much money to be made by NOT curing diseases.

Cacs based the worlds entire economy on oil which is finite and horrible for the environment. They are not bright so they can't even stop using it even if they wanted with out completely losing the world's economy to whoever came with the solution. Which most likely wouldn't be them. So expect gas for longer brehs.

My girl was talking about how she knew some guy that designed a blueprint to make cars run on water years ago..he sold out and sold it to chevron for a mill thinking chevron would make the cars,, they didn't .. They swept it under the rug,,

Yes, there have been a few of these inventions. Another one where the guy ended up dead…supposedly suicide. I'm sure it was big oil, they tried to buy his patent, and he said no.

even tho the supply of oil is finite, we aren't even close to exhausting that supply. from what I understand, we still got a couple hundred more years of oil, which is enough for my kids and grandkids to live out there lives, which is good enough for me

what I hate is how the price of oil is not even determined by supply and demand. the price is determined by speculation, which has nothing to do with the economic forces of the real market. we out here paying $4+ a gallon for gas, and there hasn't been a shortage of fuel in over 30 years. so how can this be????
