High fashion is overpriced relative to what you're actually getting, that's part of what makes it high fashion. Try to understand the game behind charging a ton of money for clothing; if too many people can have it, it's not exclusive. When it's not exclusive, it's not cool anymore and you won't sell.
Think Shaqs vs. Jordans. If Jordans cost $40 like a pair of Shaqs cost, they wouldn't be as popular because everyone would have them. The fact that a pair of Js is $150+ keeps their exclusivity at a certain level which is a less extreme example of what Kanye is employing here.
And on some real shyt, cac owned high fashion outlets put out shyt like this at equally exorbitant prices and no one says much if anything. I'm proud of Kanye for getting his the way cacs get theirs.
