You don't have to be superlyrical but you do have to make sense, Because that it's hard for me to take a nikka seriously as some super gangsta if he's literally dressed like a girl. If you liked shyt from the biggie era unless you're a hypebeast I don't see how you could like some new shyt. I remember hearing some nikka literally yodeling like a dying cat and I asked the chick who was listening to that did she really like it? (It was Fetty Wap it wasn't Trap Queen it was some other song)
If you're asking what happened, I joined the Army after 9/11 so I stopped listening to the radio and watching videos all day so I kinda stopped listening to new shyt and the new waved just sounded goofy to me. It's like how nikkas come down to Colombia and ask me why I don't like to literally drink Liters of Henny and a case of booze all day. It was the same reason, I stopped drinking as a Teen when drinking 40's got played out, I'll have a drink to be sociable but I think it's goofy to literally sit around and drink all day everyday.
