Watching some Vlad interview with Charlamagne, and he broke it down lovely. Death row had like 3 megastars dropping back to back classics in a 2-4 year span.

I mean Big was ill but......ehhh :manny:

The Chronic, Doggystyle, AEOM , 7daytheory, Dogg Pound >>>>>>>> Ready 2 Die , LAD , Harlem World , MPR

This is like undeniable facts, you cant even argue this shyt, even if you was born in raised in Bedstuy :jbhmm:

When it comes to being a music visionary

Dr. Dre > Puff.

You can even refer to Aftermath to just strength this point.

cue East Coast/West Coast yappin'...

But really, it depends on what you liked. Really couldn't lose with one or the other, both were great at what they did. If you wanted some straight-up hard yet palatable gangsta shyt, Death Row had it. If you wanted a lil' mix of everything (radio friendly hip-hop, street shyt, R&B) there was Bad Boy.

Only thing about Death Row... I wish they'd had a better machine when it came to putting their artists out. They coulda been even bigger if there was a steadier flow- like, when Rage hit big with 'Afro Puffs', that album shoulda been on the go... Nate's popularity needed an album to go with it... they even coulda got Jewell poppin' when the label was hot. I just wonder how crazy that woulda been in that '92-'96 era to get albums by all those artists they had.

Death Row had better grinders in the lab and better storytellers. Other than BIG who Bad Boy had that'll immerse people with words and keep the consumer captivated throughout an album.

The Chronic, Doggystyle, and All Eyez on Me are three of the top 15 hip hop albums of all-time.

Bad Boys has one, Ready to Die.

This is not a debate at all.

Exactly and all three can still have multiple tracks from them thrown on in a party and that shyt will be lit. Just look at how people bug out when "Ain't No Fun" comes on or suddenly feel tough when that "Ambitionz of a Ridah" is playing
