Looking back, Michael Moore didn't tell a lie in his documentaries

Oh no doubt I totally understand. To be fair Toronto is way worse at its worst than Surrey or Vancouver but even Toronto at its worst has bad "areas" and not bad entire districts. As a result American hoods be having 10 blocks of just despair. It was just a little dishonest on his part but I 100% felt the point of what he was saying.

I feel you. All media is sensationalized tho. ALL of it. In that same documentary he shows himself buying a gun at a bank.....yes you can buy a gun at the bank but he didn't mention that there's processing time, he made it seem like you can just go in and grab a rifle, no way.

I mean my mom left war torn Somalia (shes back now ) and she at times was overwhelmed by the drug culture and violence that can happen, so it's all relative.

My mom was too, it may have been because they're women, moms stuck it out tho and we eventually got out. My uncles on the other hand, they weren't phased, one moved to Montreal to marry and the other is still there chillin like even now he's caking and seems to not mind living in the J's.
He's been there so long that the area is now gentrifying and he feels weird about it. I'm like no, a coffee shop is a good thing, not a bad thing man.

I don't know much about Toronto, but no offense, I stayed in a newly 'gentrified' area of vancouver called Surrey, and I saw some rough looking rednecks, but I not once felt threatened, walking around with video games in my hand (infamous 2 to be exact). Hell I even saw a swastika (first time in my life) and still stomped around that place not worried about nothin. I don't know what it is about Canada, but come to south or east LA and your perspective changes. nikkas in the U.S are wolves man.

Wow friend, that isnt necessary. I think if you took Brazillian Jiujitsu you'd have the confidence to make more friends when you go on other peoples turf.

When i first moved to l.a i was trying to get downtown and got lost. I ended up in a crip neighborhood. I walked down the street looking for someone to give me directions. I saw some friends in a yard and i said, excuse me friends, could you help me find my way downtown im new here. What bus do i take. Just on the block rapping with friends. Friends can sense the nature of an individual and if your heart is pure, they will recognize and help you. Lets not be afraid anymore and lets start taking Brazillian Jiujitsu yall come on, we've played around long enough.

just to correct you but surrey is its own city has nothing to do with vancouver. Also, whites are a minority there, and the whites that are their are typical wanna be down types dont think ve ever seen a swastika or a redneck in surrey. all the rednecks are further north/east.

Bush wanted to attack Iraq WAY before 9/11. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The Bush administration used the hatred and bigotry against Muslims that was greatly increased due to 9/11 to convince the American people that attacking Iraq was necessary for our security.
