I'm looking for the best West coast tracks from the East- vs West coast era. I was mostly into East coast music then and felt I needed to educate myself on the West movement from that time.
So please list your best tracks from that period (Pac, Dogg Pound etc.)

Just go back and listen to Deathrow shyt from the 90's. This ain't like beef now where you got hella tracks wit nikkaz going back and forth. It was more of shyt being said on album tracks and even then there weren't full tracks.

For example on Dogg Food Dogg Pound threw shots at BTNH but it was a single bar..."we don't give a fukk bout no HOES IN HARMONY" and that was it. There were shots thrown throughout the album but it was a bar here and a bar there.

shyt hurt me when kurupt said that:mjcry:

But you are 100% on point. That era back then, you'd hear a line or 2, then nikkaz would stay focused on other topics on the album.

That's why "Hit Em Up" had us like :damn: since the whole song was diss

Exactly. That, Dre Day, Real Muthafukin G'z and a couple others is what brought it back.

No Vaseline and Benedict Arnold dropped but then after that it cooled off. Then you have Bad Boy/Deathrow then WestSide Connection and Common.

East West shyt really wasn't that big it was two camps beefin and since they had the two biggest rappers the media blew that shyt up to the iconic shyt people believe now. nikkaz forget that Pac had Eastcoast artists on AEOM and that Hit Em Up was on the B side of California Love which was on AEOM. East West Beef was truly just Biggie vs Pac or better yet Suge vs Puffy

You want some real shyt check the Eiht/Quik beef. That shyt lasted like 20 years lol
