What is Pete's role on the show? Does he help Combat prepare for the interviews?
I honestly forget he's on there sometimes. Last few episodes he's been quiet as hell. He'll chime in when somebody references smoking woolys, going to jail, or sneakers. I will say he is the one guy who's appeared on nearly every episode with Combat while the other guys have waned.

i want to know why he just retired (as a solo act) in his prime, right in the mid 90's

not even a goodbye or acknowledgment of it, just stopped making albums. yea hip hop was changing but he could have kept doing him like Show & A and OC did

I wish he'd go on Juan Epstein because they get more indepth than Combat Jack. You can tell Combat is very knowledgeable on certain aspects of rap history but he's completely lost in others and there's an era he's not all that familiar with or just certain things most real heads know that he doesn't so he won't ask the right questions.

Lol nah Cyph knows his shyt, he actually knows more than Rosenberg imo. Rosenberg gets super deep because that's his style, but it just depends on the artist. Ciph knows ALOT about Main Source, Tribe, LONS, De La etc..that's the stuff he's into. I've heard him school Rosenberg a lot on who produced what, how certain rappers started etc...

I've also heard cyph be absolutely clueless on certain artist that surprised me. yeah he knows the artist you mentioned, also reggae artists and i know he's a huge west coast fan but sometimes he comes across less knowledgeable to me
