It was NY rappers who were saying West Coast rappers couldn't rap, they had no lyrics, basically was calling them Chief Keef of their time, more image and style than substance in their lyrics, they didn't participate in the pillars of hip-hop (freestyling, b-boying, djing, etc.) And Pac showed them up![]()

pac showed them up how?
im still tryna figure out who called pac out. youre all over the place.

Disagree there, Com ate Cube beyond repair.ehh, cube wouldve ate common and his overrated track if the beef didnt get squashed.
A lot of sneak dissin' was goin' on, wasn't too many cats from the NYC with heart to diss West Coast rappers to their face, and in regards to Pac it wasn't him specifically, that was the general sentiment on the East Coast at that time. If you weren't born before 1985 you wouldn't understand breh![]()

It'll always be amazing to me, man....
watching or listening to old school cats....
the wordplay and science and multis and rhyming to the syllables is there, just like the best of the best today
only thing different is the old school sounding flow and the subject matter.
But it's still all the same. like math equations and sheet music.
hip hop is such an amazing thing....
